Many parents actually don't know what they are doing. We just hope our children listen, behave well, and follow our instructions. But for a three-year-old child, what they need most is not "good behavior," but a close relationship and a sense of security with their parents. Without this relationship, the child is psychologically "unable to survive." Therefore, the most frightening thing for a child is to lose their parents' love and acceptance. However, many times, when parents are dissatisfied, they scare the child in this way: ignoring them, saying they don't love them anymore, or threatening to leave if they keep behaving this way. We think this is discipline, but in fact, it is hurting the child. Doing so keeps the child in a state of tension and fear for a long time, with stress hormones in their body remaining high. Under this pressure, the child's brain simply cannot develop properly. In other words, we are not raising them in a truly caring way, but many parents have been taught to do so.
