Currently, many people in this market have a bias against altcoins, believing that nobody buys shitcoins, and that altcoins are scams. Of course, I agree that scams exist, but I do not agree with the idea that nobody buys shitcoins. It is impossible for this market to not have altcoins.
This bull run has no altcoin season, except for various VC coins whose initial market caps were too high, allowing project teams to profit simply by selling without needing to pump. Another important reason is that the altcoin season in 2021 was too crazy, so the vast majority of retail investors have been betting on altcoins in this bull market. Therefore, the big players won't do charity pump-and-dump schemes to give everyone money.
After experiencing this bull market, the consensus among most retail investors is that nobody buys shitcoins. So, in the next bull run, it will be much easier for the big players to manipulate the market, since plenty of people will still buy in when prices are pumped up. The entire industry chain of the crypto world—community, media, institutions, exchanges, project teams—is 90% centered around altcoins. Whether you look down on altcoins or have biases against them, altcoins are a real existence. In the next bull market, I will still buy altcoins. After so many years in this market, my core logic is simple: only by daring to be the opposite side of the majority retail investors can you win.
