Will prediction markets on X die? Why, and what do we do next???
a lot of people see that a real trend has started, prediction markets and building bots around them and in just two weeks, it's turned into spam about "how I made $1M in 24 hours building an AI agent on OpenClaw for Polymarket" today Nikita Bier, who previously banned InfoFi, tweeted: "The world without prediction market spam on X" and honestly, nothing stops him from going after it and banning similar content that would be kind of strange though, since X is officially partnered with Polymarket as its prediction market partner so what's the reality behind all this and his statement? - most of these bots are just spam, the numbers aren't real - the only ones actually making money are pro teams with serious resources and experience - the figures people are baiting with are impossible, volume on most markets is under $100k - a lot of this is done for profit via referral links on Polymarket Nikita Bier called out the spam specifically, not prediction market content as a whole so yeah, realistically, this niche will die the same way memecoins did, once the audience gets oversaturated with low-quality content people will try to build the same kind of bot, nothing will work, because it has nothing to do with reality tell me, why would a dev who actually found an edge in building these bots share it on CT? i know real teams working in this space, anonymous, not interested in CT at all, scraping everything directly from Polymarket with algorithms opinions don't matter to them, and they would never publish what they're doing, not even hint at it every creator is just trying to survive in this market, posting whatever's trending, without knowing much about AI, and many can't even install OpenClaw it's almost impossible to switch niches in a couple of weeks and start building profitable bots on OpenClaw or even Claude Code that takes a massive stack of knowledge and resources and even then, those sky-high profits people bait with on CT just aren't realistic with that reality, prediction market content will die in a few weeks… R.I.P 🕯 unless Nikita decides to crack down even earlier the space is fading, the smart move is shifting into AI or building, and keeping maybe 30% focus here that's more than enough to stay on top of what's happening Peace. Will prediction markets on X die? Why, and what do we do next???
a lot of people see that a real trend has started, prediction markets and building bots around them
and in just two weeks, it's turned into spam about "how I made $1M in 24 hours building an AI agent on OpenClaw for Polymarket"
today Nikita Bier, who previously banned InfoFi, tweeted: "The world without prediction market spam on X"
and honestly, nothing stops him from going after it and banning similar content
that would be kind of strange though, since X is officially partnered with Polymarket as its prediction market partner
so what's the reality behind all this and his statement?
- most of these bots are just spam, the numbers aren't real
- the only ones actually making money are pro teams with serious resources and experience
- the figures people are baiting with are impossible, volume on most markets is under $100k
- a lot of this is done for profit via referral links on Polymarket
Nikita Bier called out the spam specifically, not prediction market content as a whole
so yeah, realistically, this niche will die the same way memecoins did, once the audience gets oversaturated with low-quality content
people will try to build the same kind of bot, nothing will work, because it has nothing to do with reality
tell me, why would a dev who actually found an edge in building these bots share it on CT?
i know real teams working in this space, anonymous, not interested in CT at all, scraping everything directly from Polymarket with algorithms
opinions don't matter to them, and they would never publish what they're doing, not even hint at it
every creator is just trying to survive in this market, posting whatever's trending, without knowing much about AI, and many can't even install OpenClaw
it's almost impossible to switch niches in a couple of weeks and start building profitable bots on OpenClaw or even Claude Code
that takes a massive stack of knowledge and resources
and even then, those sky-high profits people bait with on CT just aren't realistic
with that reality, prediction market content will die in a few weeks… R.I.P 🕯
unless Nikita decides to crack down even earlier
the space is fading, the smart move is shifting into AI or building, and keeping maybe 30% focus here
that's more than enough to stay on top of what's happening
Peace. See you soon
