Currently, the biggest Bitcoin whale globally remains the mysterious founder Satoshi Nakamoto. He mined 22,000 blocks early on, estimated to hold about 1.096 million Bitcoins, with a total value of approximately $75 billion; although distributed across multiple addresses, all follow a specific Patoshi pattern (Patoshi Pattern) (Note: Bitcoins that appeared from the Genesis Block and have never been moved).

Who will own the most Bitcoins in 2026?
Following Satoshi Nakamoto are major institutions. Coinbase holds 993,000 coins, ranking first among exchanges, accounting for about 5% of the total supply; BlackRock owns approximately 760,000 coins, representing 3.8% of the total supply; Strategy holds 410,000 Bitcoins, accounting for 2.1%; the U.S. government holds about 320,000 coins, making up 1.64%; Tether holds 96,000 Bitcoins, accounting for 0.48%.
