Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem stated on March 25 that Hezbollah will continue to fight against Israel through “defensive combat.” According to Lebanon’s Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Manar TV, Qassem said in his speech, “We are conducting a ‘defensive fight’ for Lebanon and its citizens. Resisting aggression is a shared responsibility of all the country’s people, including the government, military, civilians, and all political forces.” Qassem said Hezbollah has chosen between “surrendering and giving up land, dignity, and sovereignty” and “inevitable resistance.” He emphasized that Hezbollah is prepared to continue fighting.
