On March 25th, COSCO SHIPPING Lines announced that starting immediately, the company will resume new booking services (general cargo) from the Far East to the following Middle Eastern countries: United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq.

Previously, on March 4th, COSCO SHIPPING Lines announced that due to the ongoing escalation of conflicts in the Middle East and the corresponding restrictions on maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, the company has decided to suspend new booking services on related routes to ensure the safety of cargo transportation and the stability of overall shipping operations. The affected routes are as follows:

  1. Suspension of all new booking services from global to the United Arab Emirates (excluding Fujeirah and Hurf Fakan), Qatar, Bahrain, Iraq, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (excluding Jeddah), and Kuwait.

  2. Suspension of all new booking services from the United Arab Emirates (excluding Fujeirah and Hurf Fakan), Qatar, Bahrain, Iraq, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (excluding Jeddah), and Kuwait to global destinations.
