Citibank: Expecting the average price of Brent crude oil in Q2 to reach $130 per barrel in a bullish scenario

ME News update, April 2 (UTC+8). Citigroup said that under the base-case scenario, the average price of Brent crude oil in the second quarter of 2026 is expected to be $95 per barrel; under the bullish scenario, it is $130 per barrel. Global oil supply may be short by 4.4 million barrels per day; if some Gulf countries refuse to agree to Iran’s so-called “transit fee,” the shortage could be 8 million barrels per day.
