#Gate廣場四月發帖挑戰 More than half of the world's wealthy are not actually rich because of hard work!🤯
I used to think that wealthy people were all business geniuses who worked tirelessly to start their own companies...
But the latest report directly contradicts that, revealing that up to 60% of their wealth comes from "#投胎」跟「#monopoly"!
The annual World Economic Forum held in Davos, Switzerland, appears to be a gathering of political and business elites discussing how to make the world better, but the latest report released by Oxfam, an international environmental and human rights organization, titled "Predators, Not Creators," exposes this facade.
The report points out that the astonishing wealth of these super-rich is not mostly earned through extraordinary talent, but rather through #family inheritance, #拉攏政商關係 , and #壟斷市場 .
Even more shocking is the data showing that none of the billionaires under 30 are self-made.
Last year marked the first time in history that the number of "wealthy through inheritance" surpassed that of entrepreneurs who built their fortunes through their own efforts.
In 2024, the global wealth of the ultra-rich increased by $2 trillion, which means they are earning about 180 billion TWD every day just by opening their eyes—an income rate that could probably exhaust a printing press.
In contrast, ordinary people are arguing over a 10-dollar increase in their lunchbox price every day, and the global poverty rate has hardly decreased since 1990.
The report also highlights a harsh reality: these multinational corporations and super-rich individuals are fiercely opposing bills to raise the minimum wage, using various means to pay less corporate tax than you and I, while controlling the market through monopolies—dictating how much we can earn and how much we spend on medicine and healthcare.
While they produce massive carbon emissions by flying private jets, the people suffering from extreme climate change and inflation are those who can't even afford to turn on the air conditioning.
This is not wealth creation; it's simply moving the sweat and blood of the grassroots into the wallets of the wealthy.💸
Since childhood, we were taught to study hard and work tirelessly to stand out.
Now I finally understand: all our overtime work is just to ensure that the boss's son can smoothly buy his third private jet next month.⚖️
