I noticed an interesting story about how one guy built a real empire on content. We're talking about MrBeast — his net worth is estimated at around $500 million, and this isn't just a number, but the result of a very smart strategy.

The thing is, Donaldson has topped the list of the highest-paid YouTubers on the planet for two consecutive years. In 2021, he earned about $54 million from videos, and the forecasts for 2022 were even more ambitious — up to $110 million. But the main point isn't these figures, it's how he generates them.

The whole story started with a content studio in Greenville. He doesn't just have one channel, but an entire network: the main MrBeast with 142 million subscribers, then Beast Gaming with 32 million, Beast Reacts, MrBeast Shorts, Beast Philanthropy, and several other projects. About 50 people work at his studio — scriptwriters, editors, assistants. Interestingly, many of them are his friends and family members who believed in the idea from the very early stages.

But the coolest part is how he monetized his name beyond YouTube. In December 2020, he launched MrBeast Burger. At first, it was just free food giveaways in Greenville, but the line stretched for 30 kilometers. Now, the network has over 300 locations across the U.S. The trick is that these are virtual restaurants — you order through an app, and the food is prepared in partner cafes. In three months, they sold over a million burgers.

Then came Feastables snacks — chocolate and cookies sold at Walmart and online. The launch in January 2022 was accompanied by a contest with Gordon Ramsay as a judge. In the first few months, sales reached $10 million — pretty good for snacks.

Overall, MrBeast's wealth isn't growing by chance. In 2022, he's even looking for investors for a stake in his studio — the valuation of his main asset could reach up to $1.5 billion. Donaldson himself says that the key to success is not obsessing over becoming a billionaire, but simply focusing on building a great company. It seems to work. He was even invited to give a lecture at Harvard Business School. This is an example of how proper diversification and a focus on quality turn YouTube success into a real business empire.
