So I just saw something interesting about Grass (GRASS) lately. Grass is a pretty unique DePIN project where users can earn tokens by sharing their unused internet bandwidth for AI training. The concept is simple but powerful.
I checked the latest data, and the current price of GRASS is around $0.30, with a 24-hour movement of +4.88%. It’s quite volatile for a relatively young token. During the first airdrop in October 2024, the hype was pretty big, but now the market is in a consolidation phase.
What’s interesting is Grass’s tokenomics. Total supply is 1 billion tokens with a fairly strategic allocation: 300 million for the community (including 170 million for future incentives), 228 million for the ecosystem, 252 million for early investors with annual vesting, and 220 million for core contributors with a 3-year vesting schedule. This means there’s still potential dilution if they release new tokens in the future.
One thing to watch out for is rumors about the possible launch of additional tokens or the emergence of copycat projects. This is quite common in the crypto space; scammers often create fake tokens with similar names. But the original Grass is already listed on several major exchanges and backed by serious investors like Polychain Capital and Tribe Capital, so its credibility is maintained.
Regarding development, their roadmap for 2025 is quite ambitious: plans for horizontal scaling with a 60x increase in data retrieval speed and a focus on new products. If execution goes smoothly, this could be a positive catalyst. Their user base has already reached 3 million people, indicating solid adoption.
From a market perspective, Grass could benefit from the ongoing AI token trend. Surveys show nearly 44% of investors have a positive view of AI tokens. But there are risks too: if they do release new tokens, there could be short-term price pressure from supply dilution. Plus, some users have reported technical issues during the first airdrop, which could affect short-term sentiment.
If Bitcoin continues to rally and the market enters an altseason, Grass could benefit. But macro pressures or strict regulations could act as headwinds. Volatility will likely remain a characteristic of this token, especially with ongoing token unlocks.
In summary, Grass has interesting fundamentals but still some uncertainties. If you’re interested, make sure to deal only with official projects and avoid suspicious ones. Keep an eye on their news and Bitcoin trends, because those two factors will drive the price action moving forward.
