The Trump administration is expected to issue executive orders related to encryption currency on the first day of office. News details:
According to The Washington Post, President-elect Donald Trump is expected to sign a series of executive orders that will significantly reshape the regulatory framework for digital assets in the United States.
The first day is expected to take an important step forward.
Presidential encryption committee: According to the information reflected by the media, one of the first regulations foresees the establishment of a "presidential encryption committee" composed of about 20 encryption currency experts.
Repeal of SAB 121: The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has issued the repeal of a regulation called 'SAB 121', which prevents U.S. banks from holding encryption currencies and is also under discussion. This regulation has been a major obstacle, particularly for encryption currency companies looking to integrate with traditional financial systems.
Promoting Bank Access: The Trump administration is also expected to issue additional executive orders to make it easier for encryption companies to work with banks. This move could alleviate the problem of "unbanking" caused by regulatory uncertainty that makes it difficult for encryption companies to collaborate with banks.
Sweeping encryption executive order
SEC and CFTC Collaboration: According to reports, Trump plans to address broader regulatory issues in the weeks following his inauguration, including issuing an executive order to establish a working group focused on encryption between the SEC and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
Repeal of DeFi special rules: Another executive order aims to repeal the SEC's exchange rules, which have been criticized by the encryption community for targeting decentralized finance (DeFi) projects.
International Cooperation: Another executive order prepared by the Trump team also plans to encourage the US Secretary of State to strengthen international cooperation and promote global encryption innovation.
"encryption ball" and department interaction
The 'Encryption Night' event on January 17th: As part of the celebration of Trump's inauguration, the 'Encryption Night' will be held on January 17th, in addition to policy reforms.
VIP reception and David Sacks: This event will be organized by Trump's super PAC (MAGA Inc.) and will host a special VIP reception, joined by the appointed AI and encryption expert 'Czar' David Sacks.
