März: Ein Mann beschuldigt nach seiner Scheidung seine Ex-Frau, über 2323 Bitcoin aus seinem Geldbeutel gestohlen und an einen Ort transferiert zu haben, an den er keinen Zugriff mehr hat. Der Wert der betroffenen Vermögenswerte beträgt bis zu 180 Millionen Pfund (etwa 238 Millionen US-Dollar). Der Kläger Ping Fai Yuen hat in London eine Klage gegen seine Ex-Frau Fun Yung Li eingereicht. Laut dem am 10. März veröffentlichten Urteil des Londoner Gerichts belief sich der geschätzte Wert der betroffenen Bitcoin seit Beginn des Verfahrens auf bis zu 180 Millionen Pfund.
