The U.S. claims that starting at 10 p.m. tonight (April 13), it will implement a blockade on all maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports. Does the United States have the capability to blockade Iran's maritime traffic? What are the intentions behind the so-called "blockade"? What consequences might the "blockade" trigger? Military observer Wei Dongxu from the China Media Group pointed out that the U.S. military has deployed forces in the Gulf of Oman and the northern Arabian Sea to carry out the so-called "maritime blockade" against Iran. Such actions are a direct provocation to Iran. Currently, Iran still possesses a sufficient number of anti-ship missiles and long-range attack drones, capable of providing maritime anti-ship fire coverage against U.S. Navy targets. The U.S. "maritime blockade" will interfere with normal international shipping and make the situation in the Strait of Hormuz even more dangerous. The United States is not solving problems but creating new ones.
