The other day, someone asked me again, "Isn't on-chain data real-time? Why does what you're saying differ from what I see"… To put it simply, what you see as "on-chain" is separated by several layers: nodes, RPC, indexers, and more. If one layer is slow, it causes delays. Especially when using public RPCs, congestion, rate limiting, rollbacks, reorganizations, etc., make the index on the browser side slower. You might be watching the candlestick chart thinking someone just entered the market, but in reality, they left half an hour ago.

Recently, with Meme hype and celebrities shouting, attention shifts and follows trends so quickly. Newcomers often take the "delayed on-chain data" to catch the last move, and no matter how much veteran players advise, it’s useless… I now treat on-chain data as a "reference." For important operations, check two sources, and don’t rush even if it’s a bit slower. By the way, my colleague yesterday also said, "I see on the block explorer that it’s already confirmed," and I could only reply: Don’t trust that little green check too much, just make sure to protect your principal first.
