Just read that Turkish authorities have frozen assets worth over $500 million belonging to Veysel Sahin. The guy is said to have operated an illegal gambling platform and laundered money — pretty intense.

What surprises me: Tether has frozen the assets at the request of Turkish authorities themselves. So not just the authorities, but also the crypto side is cooperating. Veysel Sahin is probably in trouble if even Tether is collaborating.

Bloomberg and Foresight News reported this. I wonder if this is just the beginning — if authorities are so aggressive against Veysel Sahin, will others get nervous too? An interesting development, definitely.
