PANews 2月11日発表、Business Insiderによると、Sam Altmanが率いるWorldcoinの親会社Tools for Humanityで最近幹部人事の変動があった。チーフアーキテクト兼セキュリティ責任者のAdrian Ludwigとチーフ法務・プライバシー責任者のDamien Kieranは最近退職した。その後、会社の契約、人事、採用、製品部門の責任者も次々に退任した。内部のSlackメッセージによると、CEOのAlex Blaniaは複数の臨時役員を任命し、重要な職務を引き継がせている。元従業員は、企業文化やリーダーシップのスタイルの問題が人員流出の一因だと指摘している。
今回の人事異動は、同社が生体認証データの収集に関してケニアやヨーロッパの一部市場で規制の抵抗に直面している最中に起きた。これに加え、AltmanとBlaniaは別途、脳とコンピュータをつなぐインターフェース技術に焦点を当てた会社Merge Labsを設立しており、本人たちの本人確認スタートアップにおけるリーダーシップに対する関心を呼んでいる。
