Gate News message, April 23 — Andre Cronje's decentralized finance platform Flying Tulip has launched a withdrawal circuit breaker mechanism designed to delay or queue withdrawals during abnormal capital outflows, limiting potential losses and providing time for investigation.
The mechanism operates differently across products: in the Perpetual PUT product, withdrawals may be rejected and users can retry later; in ftUSD, withdrawals enter a queue and can be claimed after a delay. Flying Tulip employs a "fail-open" design, meaning transactions can continue executing if the safety mechanism fails.
