According to PANews, on July 19, Base's largest Chinese community rebranded itself to "Base is Too Doggy" in apparent protest after Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong changed his profile picture to Superman, leading community members to interpret it as a signal of major developments. The speculation drove MEME token $BRIAN to a $37 million market cap and increased Base chain TVL by $100 million overnight.

Within 24 hours, Armstrong reverted his avatar, and $BRIAN collapsed to $1.97 million, erasing 94% of its gains.
