According to CEO Gracy Chen in a Tuesday podcast interview with The Block, Bitget plans to enter the United States market regardless of whether Congress passes the Clarity Act. The offshore crypto exchange, registered in the Seychelles, will pursue the expansion by securing money-transmitter, derivatives, and broker-dealer licenses before launching services.
Bitget's tokenized-stock products have accumulated over $100 million in assets since launching last month, with traditional assets representing 20% to 30% of the exchange's spot trading volume. Chen said the company is exploring partnerships with NYSE and Nasdaq to distribute tokenized versions of traditional assets.
