Cuba's President Warns of Possible U.S. Military Invasion, Urges Citizens to Prepare

Díaz-Canel described Cuba as facing an "absolutely challenging" moment with imminent "serious threats," including potential U.S. military aggression. He urged Cubans to "be prepared" to fight in the event of an invasion, saying: "We do not want war, but we have a responsibility to be prepared."

Díaz-Canel also condemned what he called the U.S. "genocidal multi-layered blockade" of Cuba, describing it as the "primary cause" of shortages and hardship affecting Cuban families. He stated that the embargo has severely impacted the supply of basic necessities and hindered Cuba's development needs.
