According to COMEX, on July 24, August gold futures rose 0.17% to $4,057.20 per troy ounce in afternoon trading. The uptick follows a broader market adjustment, with crude oil prices falling for the first time in six trading days: WTI September futures dropped 3%, while Brent crude September contracts declined 3.84%. U.S. Treasury yields also retreated, with the 10-year yield falling 1.80 basis points and the 2-year yield down 2 basis points. Independent metals trader Ty Wong noted that gold continues to find support near $3,950 despite rising Treasury rates, signaling the market is positioning for renewed upside.
