Iran's Quds Force Commander Confirms Baghdad Visit, Emphasizes Iraq's Sovereignty Against U.S.-Israel Interference

Gate News message, April 20 — Ismail Qaani, commander of the Quds Force under Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, confirmed in a statement that he visited Iraq's capital Baghdad on April 18. Qaani stressed that forming Iraq's new government is the country's sovereign right and that Iraq's vast territory cannot be subject to interference by other nations, particularly the U.S. and Israel, whom he characterized as "criminals against humanity."
Qaani emphasized that the election of Iraq's prime minister is entirely determined by the Iraqi people and not subject to external influence.
