According to Guru Club, Japanese AI startup Preferred Networks is seeking an IPO to mass-produce semiconductors designed for running AI models. CEO Daisuke Okanohara said on September 7 that the company plans to deliver chip samples to customers in the first half of 2027, with commercial deployment scheduled for December 2027, aiming to achieve profitability within three years. Global customers are seeking to reduce costs and decrease dependence on U.S. companies like Nvidia, driving demand for alternative AI accelerators.
