NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang's Black Leather Jacket Fetches $960,000 at Sotheby's, Far Exceeding Estimate

According to Sotheby's, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang's signature black Tom Ford leather jacket sold for $960,000 at a charity auction on July 17, vastly surpassing its pre-sale estimate of $40,000 to $60,000 and original retail price of approximately $10,000. The jacket attracted 45 bidders and received 65 bids before closing. Sotheby's head of modern collectibles, Brahm Wachter, noted the auction significantly exceeded expectations, reflecting growing collector demand for iconic symbols of the AI era. All proceeds were donated to Edge Institute to fund scholarships and research support for emerging tech entrepreneurs.
