According to the U.S. Treasury Department, on July 28, the 7-year Treasury auction set a yield of 4.473%, up 21.3 basis points from the previous month's 4.260% and marking the highest level since December 2024. The $44 billion auction saw a bid-to-cover ratio of 2.49 times, consistent with the six-auction average. Indirect bidders—representing foreign demand—accounted for 70.1% of accepted bids, surging 12.5 percentage points from the prior month and reaching the highest level since August of last year.
