Visa CEO: South Korea has 17 million crypto investors, making it the best place for stablecoin experiments

Gate News message, on April 6, Visa Group President Oliver Jenkins and the company’s head of business for Asia Pacific, Steven Carpin, said during visits to multiple banks in South Korea that South Korea is the best place to conduct stablecoin experiments. Oliver Jenkins pointed out that South Korea has 17 million crypto investors and ranks second globally, just behind the United States, in terms of the paid subscription rate for the generative AI platform ChatGPT. He said that South Korea could lead in the future the integration of artificial intelligence and stablecoin business. Visa believes South Korea is the best place to test stablecoins outside the United States, and the South Korean market is very important to Visa.
