WTI Falls 7.5% to $82.61 on July 27 as U.S.-Iran Military Tensions Ease

According to Yonhapinfomax, crude oil futures fell sharply on July 27 as traders locked in gains following a pause in U.S.-Iran military confrontations. WTI September futures declined $6.70 to $82.61 per barrel, down 7.5%, while Brent September futures dropped $8.42 to $88.36 per barrel, down 8.7%. Over the preceding two trading days, WTI prices fell more than 10% as the Strait of Hormuz tensions eased, with limited but resumed commercial shipping activity observed.
