IRYS and Acurast announced an exploratory partnership on October 13.

The goal of the collaboration is to combine Acurast's decentralized edge computing network (with over 120,000 devices across more than 140 countries) with IRYS's programmable data chain.

The cooperation between the two parties will provide secure and cost-effective computing solutions for data-intensive decentralized applications.

The target market includes AI, DePIN, and Web3 infrastructure.

After learning about Acurast, I found that there are reasons for choosing IRYS. The potential application scenarios that can arise from the cooperation between the two parties are indeed quite a few:

※ Confidential Inference: IRYS stores AI datasets and models, and Acurast runs privacy-preserving AI inference in a TEE environment.

※ Verifiable Training: Ensure the integrity of training data using IRYS's data provenance certification and conduct model training through the Acurast distributed network.

※ AI Agent Coordination: The execution of autonomous AI agents can be achieved by combining the programmable data of IRYS and the edge computing of Acurast.

※ Complete technology stack: IRYS as the data layer (permanent storage for sensor/IoT data), Acurast as the computing layer (mobile edge processing).

※ Oracle Service: Acurast performs off-chain data retrieval, and IRYS permanently stores oracle proofs.

※ Cross-Chain Automation: IRYS triggers Acurast computation tasks through smart contracts to achieve complex cross-chain operations.

※ ZK proof generation: Acurast generates ZK proofs on distributed mobiles, and IRYS permanently stores them for on-chain verification.

As the cooperation between both parties deepens and takes shape, the likelihood of the aforementioned scenarios becoming a reality is very high, and I am optimistic about the cooperation between both sides.
