The Ethereum Foundation has relaunched the grant program - ForkLog: cryptocurrencies, AI, singularity, future
The non-profit organization Ethereum Foundation (EF) has presented an updated grant program with a “proactive approach” to supporting projects.
In August, the structure suspended the acceptance of applications for funding under the previous ESP initiative. This step was explained by the necessity to reassess priorities.
The updated ESP model is designed to address the identified issue by transforming the reactive approach into a proactive one and ensuring that funding goes towards the priority goals of the ecosystem. The program is structured through two channels: “Wishlist” and “Request for Proposals.”
The first of the lists defines the general areas in which EF sees “important gaps and opportunities for progress in the ecosystem.” The second describes specific issues and “invites applicants to propose targeted solutions.”
The ESP team published the initially formed sets of work directions for both lists.
Regarding the volumes of funding provided, the organization stated that the amount will be determined individually for each separate case. Applicants may include estimated budget assessments in their requests.
Let us remind you that in July, EF presented a development plan for the next decade.
