I came across a piece of news yesterday that instantly made me tense – "the Oracle of Omaha" Warren Buffett's Berkshire is massively allocating nearly $350 billion into yen assets. Analysts are flooded with interpretations – some say he's betting on a rate hike in Japan, while others interpret it as a currency Arbitrage game.
But as I looked at this number, his famous saying kept echoing in my mind: "The first rule is: never lose money. The second rule is: never forget the first rule."
This 350 billion is not an offense at all, but an epic capital defense. This most patient investor has sent a signal to the global market with real money—he senses uncertainty and is building a flood defense against the possible global liquidity storm.
This directly hits the point. If even Buffett, who pursues long-term holdings, is urgently transferring vast amounts of capital to recognized safe-haven assets, what should we, who are surfing in the globally highest volatility area of the crypto market, plan? When the next wave of risk aversion truly arrives, where will our asset ark dock safely?
This issue is too urgent to delay. My first step is not to gamble on which coin can withstand the downturn, but to seriously check if my asset allocation's "ballast" is heavy enough. After careful consideration, my core strategy is to further increase the weight of stablecoins—these market-validated assets that are linked to real assets are the true stabilizers that can navigate through market cycles.
