In the application layer architecture of Mezo Network, the trading and liquidity layers are the core trading hubs of the entire ecosystem. This level centralizes various trading needs such as swapping, leverage trading, and hedging.
At this level, several key projects each play different roles. Velar, as the native perpetual contract DEX of Bitcoin, directly uses BTC as collateral, allowing users to efficiently trade perpetual contracts. Derive (formerly known as Lyra) mainly focuses on the provision of options and perpetual protocols, playing an important role particularly in hedging scenarios. This division of labor enables traders to flexibly choose trading tools based on their risk management strategies.
