Wu said that @ImperiumPaper published an article stating that the compensation levels of senior executives at the Uniswap Foundation (UF) are “abnormally high,” and compared them with the Optimism Grants Council, which also primarily funds grants. PaperImperium noted that the Optimism Grants Council’s funding budget during a similar period was approximately $63.5 million, with reviewer and follow-up personnel compensation around $2.14 million, plus an additional approximately $500,000 in related expenses. They believe that UF’s salaries do not match its output; the costs for the three top executives are close to the entire mechanism cost of the Optimism Grants Council, but the corresponding funding scale is only about 20% of that. Financial statements show that the Uniswap Foundation disbursed $9.9929 million in grants, with employee salary expenses reaching $4.7943 million, of which $3.8711 million was used to pay executive salaries. In 2024, 22% of the Uniswap Foundation’s total expenditures will be used to pay executive salaries.
