Russia is taking serious action against illegal mining again. According to the latest news, the Russian Ministry of Justice has proposed a set of strict penalties—illegal mining can be fined up to 1.5 million rubles or forced to work for up to 2 years. But this is not the harshest part; if the profits are particularly large or if organized gangs are involved, the penalty is directly upgraded to 5 years of imprisonment.

These sanctions have already been incorporated into amendments to the Criminal Code and the Criminal Procedure Code, and are currently publicly available on the Russian legal draft system. It is clear that governments around the world are becoming increasingly explicit about their stance on crypto mining— the era of unregulated growth is over. Whether for energy regulation or tax considerations, normalization has become inevitable. For miners who want to take risks, the costs are instantly raised.

Russia's move is really harsh, with a 5-year prison sentence as a direct welcome gift. Miners should consider switching careers.

Oops, 5 years in prison, now miners have to weigh their options --- Russia's move is indeed ruthless, directly written into criminal law, this is serious --- Energy regulation + taxation, a double strike, the global regulatory wave is unstoppable --- 150,000 rubles is nothing, the key is 5 years imprisonment, who dares to gamble on this --- Wild growth has truly ended, now it's only about being regulated or being pushed out --- Organized gangs escalating their crimes directly, clearly telling the black market to stay away --- Countries are all following suit, Russia took the lead, miners have nowhere to run
