Criminals have developed sophisticated methods to target the public. They use the guise of “promoting digital renminbi” and “recruiting cooperation ambassadors” to attract participants into online chat groups.

Within these groups, scammers organize “tests” and “training courses” with the clear goal of brainwashing users through an organized exam-like model. Initial victims are asked to pay tuition fees, then persuaded to recruit others into the system, creating a continuous chain of benefits.

Things Not Related to CBDC

It must be clarified that the official digital renminbi is never involved in:

• High-profit business or investment activities
• Refunds or commission rewards for promoters
• Exams or certificates to verify “promoter” status

Promises such as “guaranteed profits,” “rewarded member recruitment,” or requests for payment to participate are clear warning signs.

To avoid becoming a victim, please:

• Be cautious of any links or apps shared from unknown sources
• Refuse to join chat groups invited by strangers
• Never send money or personal information to participate in any “program” related to digital currency
• Verify information through official channels of the People’s Bank of China before taking action
