Meaning is never a grand narrative bestowed by the outside world, but the genuine trembling that arises in your heart when you eat pizza or look at the sky. 1. Stop seeking coordinates through comparison, as that will only lead to endless internal conflict. 2. Meaning cannot be sought externally; it can only grow through creative labor itself. 3. Allow everything solid to dissipate into smoke, and only hold onto the moment you love. 4. Grand dreams are often false propositions; the subtle and specific feelings are what truly matter. I used to think that only standing in the center of the stage counted as truly living, sacrificing all leisure and companionship for a goal. Later, I achieved that wish, but under the spotlight, I felt an unprecedented emptiness. Now, I no longer obsess over so-called achievements, but focus on eating each meal well, because life itself is the purpose, not a means to the future. Have you climbed to the top with all your might, only to find that the scenery there cannot compensate for the regrets missed along the way? Pursuing dreams is actually one of the least important things in life. Those things you ignore—walking, watching the sea, daydreaming—are the only remedies against emptiness. It can even be said that blindly pursuing success and forgetting to enjoy life is the greatest betrayal of life.
