An Italian warship has arrived in Cypriot waters

People’s Financial News, March 12 — Local time March 11, the Italian Navy frigate “Federico Martinengo” arrived in Cypriot waters. The ship carries more than 160 personnel and departed last week from the southern Italian port of Taranto. After the United States and Israel launched military strikes against Iran, the UK Royal Air Force base at Akrotiri in Cyprus was drone-attacked around 0:00 on March 2, causing “limited damage.” Subsequently, Greece, France, Spain, the UK, the Netherlands, and Italy announced they would send warships to Cyprus to strengthen the country’s defense capabilities.
