Abstract generation in progress

Due to the sensitivity of integrated circuits, in recent years, China has generally focused more on doing than saying, or simply on doing without much discussion. Especially at the two sessions, which attract global attention and foreign media coverage, there has been little mention of integrated circuits.

However, this year is different. At the two sessions, Ning Jizhe, director of the National Development and Reform Commission, stated that the country will invest hundreds of billions or even trillions in fields such as integrated circuits, commercial satellites, and computing power. Particularly, positioning integrated circuits at the top of new industries and new tracks is highly significant. Especially amid the rising buzz around new concepts like AI and commercial space, the country’s clear emphasis on the unique strategic position of integrated circuits and its continued support provides strong confidence for the industry and will have a profound impact on its future.

Still focusing on integrated circuits

Since the State Council issued the “National Integrated Circuit Industry Development Promotion Outline” (Guo Fa [2014] No. 4) in 2014, the integrated circuit industry has been officially elevated to a national strategic level, entering a phase of policy high regard and full capital support. Over more than a decade, from the initial difficulties of bottlenecks everywhere to now achieving comprehensive progress and resilient development.
