Hilton faces ADA lawsuit over bed heights in accessible hotel rooms
Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc., Hilton Management LLC, and Hilton Management Services Inc. are being sued in a class action lawsuit alleging violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The lawsuit, filed by Christopher Niles, claims Hilton fails to provide accessible beds in its “accessible” hotel rooms for wheelchair users and does not provide accurate information about bed accessibility prior to booking. Niles alleges that bed heights are often too high or too low for safe and independent transfer from his wheelchair.
