School cafeterias drop certified colors as General Mills hits K-12 goal early

General Mills (NYSE: GIS) has announced that all of its K-12 school food products are now made without certified colors, achieving this goal ahead of its summer 2026 commitment. This initiative highlights the company’s commitment to product innovation, safety, and quality in foodservice. General Mills also stated its plans to remove certified colors from its entire U.S. cereal portfolio by summer 2026 and its full U.S. retail portfolio by the end of 2027.
