A source familiar with the matter revealed that Trump told a colleague that the war has distracted him, making it difficult to focus on other priorities. Another person who recently spoke with Trump said the president seems ready to shift his focus to the next major challenge, but Trump did not specify what that is.

Some allies hope he will focus on the Cuba issue, while his close advisors want him to pay attention to the issues most important to voters: the rising cost of living, which has been worsened by the war.
