Trump Says Iran Desperately Wants to Make a Deal But Doesn't Dare Say So Openly

On March 25th local time, U.S. President Donald Trump delivered a speech at a Republican Congressional Committee fundraising dinner in Washington, D.C., insisting that he is negotiating with Iran, saying “Iran is eager to reach an agreement but dares not speak openly.” Trump stated that this is because its leaders “are afraid of being overthrown by their own people and also afraid of being overthrown by the United States.” He also said that the U.S. has “won too thoroughly” in Iran.
