Carrier Global Corporation has successfully completed lab testing for a 15-ton rooftop unit in the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Commercial Building HVAC Technology Challenge. This achievement makes Carrier one of the few manufacturers to finish testing in both the 10-14-ton and 15-25-ton product categories. The units demonstrated performance exceeding DOE requirements, including 100% heating capacity at 5°F and over 70% at -10°F, with commercial availability expected in summer 2027.
