People’s Financial News, March 26 — According to reports, early this morning local time, the Chairman of the Iranian Islamic Parliament’s Civil Committee stated, “We are seeking a bill that can legally uphold Iran’s sovereignty, control, and regulation of the Strait of Hormuz, while also generating revenue for the country through tolls.”

It is understood that the draft bill has been prepared but has not yet reached the stage of a complete plan. It will be submitted to the parliamentary research center next week for refinement with the involvement of legal teams, and after the parliament convenes, the plan will be submitted and followed up on. According to the bill, Iran will impose tolls on ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
