Claude Code integrates with iMessage, allowing control of local programming agents via your phone
Odaily Planet Daily reports that Anthropic Claude Code team member Thariq Shihipar announced that iMessage is now available as a communication channel for Claude Code. After installing the plugin on Mac, users can send commands to the locally running Claude Code session via iPhone or other Apple devices, with Claude executing locally and returning results through iMessage. This feature works by reading the macOS Messages database and integrating AppleScript, without relying on external services. Currently in research preview, it requires Claude Code v2.1.80 or later.
