Hesai Laser Radar has been designated for multiple models by BAIC Group, with mass production and delivery starting as early as the second half of the year.
Hesai Technology announced today that the Hesai ATX Refresh has officially received approval for multiple vehicle models from BAIC Group. Mass production is expected to begin in the second half of 2026, with deliveries to follow gradually.
According to previous reports by IT Home, the ATX Refresh features 256 lines, with a maximum angular resolution of 0.08° x 0.05°. Its ranging capability reaches 230 meters (@10% reflectivity), with a point frequency of 3,840,000 points per second, doubling the performance of the previous generation. The ATX Refresh incorporates photonic isolation technology and the Fermi C500 chip, which includes the integrated Point Cloud Intelligence Engine (IPE).
Hesai stated that so far, it has secured mass production approval for over 160 vehicle models from more than 40 automotive brands, covering all top ten car brands by sales in China. The company has also secured cooperation with the top two ADAS customers for full-series models in 2026. The order volume for the ATX Refresh has exceeded 4 million units from several leading global automakers, with mass production and delivery scheduled to start in April 2026.
