(2) “High-level Minority Talent Program” (excluding Xinjiang MPA program): Based on the interview cutoff scores for the applied department (major/research direction), the total score cutoff is reduced by 10 points, with no reduction in individual subject scores.
(3) “High-level Minority Talent Program” (Xinjiang MPA program): Must meet the following: individual subject scores not less than 50 in subjects with a full score of 100; individual subject scores not less than 100 in subjects with a full score of 200; total score not less than 195.
(4) “Specialized Master’s Recruitment Plan for Retired College Soldiers”: Based on the interview cutoff scores for the applied department (major/research direction), the total score cutoff is reduced by 10 points, with no reduction in individual subject scores.
(5) Candidates must meet the basic requirements for the interview in the discipline, major, or research direction designated by each program to qualify for the interview.
Candidates applying for special programs must submit relevant certification materials to the admissions department before the interview. Specifically, candidates for the “Specialized Master’s Recruitment Plan for Retired College Soldiers” must submit a copy of the “Enlistment Approval Letter” and “Discharge Certificate”; candidates for the “High-level Minority Talent Program” must submit the “High-level Minority Talent Program Candidate Registration Form.”
Others
Candidates who meet any of the following conditions and apply to take the National Postgraduate Entrance Examination within three years can request an additional 10 points to their preliminary exam total score, with priority admission under the same conditions.
(1) Participated in one of the following programs: “Volunteer Service in Western China for College Students,” “Three Supports and One Assistance,” “Special Positions for Rural Compulsory Education Teachers,” or “International Chinese Education Volunteer,” and completed the service period with a passing assessment.
(2) Retired college soldiers (i.e., college students who enlisted and were discharged; including full-time undergraduates, graduate students, second bachelor’s degree students, and new students enrolled in adult colleges, both current and past graduates, as well as students enrolled in regular undergraduate programs at adult colleges) who meet the conditions for applying for the national postgraduate entrance exam.
Candidates applying for the extra points must fill out the relevant information as required when registering on the China Graduate Admission Network. Failure to declare as required will result in not receiving the extra points. Candidates who have applied as required must submit relevant certification materials to the admissions department before the interview. For those approved to enjoy policies like “Volunteer Service in Western China,” the materials must include copies of the “Volunteer Service Certificate,” “Volunteer Service Evaluation,” and proof from the service unit.
Candidates who meet the conditions and apply for minority group preferential policies (referring to those whose work units and household registration are in autonomous regions announced by the State Council, and who are returning to their original units for employment) must fill out the relevant information on the China Graduate Admission Network as required and truthfully declare their minority status and targeted employment in minority areas. Failure to declare as required will result in not receiving the preferential policies. Candidates who have applied as required must also submit relevant certification materials before the interview. After review, candidates who qualify for minority group preferential policies will have their total score cutoff reduced by 10 points, with no reduction in individual subject scores.
All materials must be uploaded to the Tsinghua University Graduate Application Service System.
These various scoring and preferential policies are not cumulative or overlapping.
Each department will set interview score cutoffs for their disciplines, majors, or research directions based on the characteristics of the subject, source of students, and enrollment plans, which will not be lower than the basic interview score cutoff for the university. The list of candidates eligible for the interview will be determined accordingly.
Further arrangements for the interview process will be announced separately.
