Egg prices remain steady with a slight upward trend

Currently, the laying hen stock remains relatively high with sufficient supply, but prices are approaching the breeding cost line. Farmers are hesitant to sell, which has eased inventory pressure. The resumption of processing plants and the start of the school year are gradually boosting demand. Feed costs are providing a bottom support for egg prices. It is expected that egg prices will fluctuate within a range in the near future, with little momentum for a significant increase and limited room for a decline. Today, the average egg price in main producing areas is 5.71 yuan/kg in Shandong, remaining the same as yesterday; 5.56 yuan/kg in Hebei, remaining the same as yesterday; 6.47 yuan/kg in Guangdong, remaining the same as yesterday; and 5.92 yuan/kg in Beijing, remaining the same as yesterday.
