ByteDance has confirmed the phased rollout of a new AI video generation model, Dreamina Seedance 2.0, within its CapCut video editing platform. The model was initially launched in Brazil, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam, allowing creators to generate and synchronize video clips up to 15 seconds long using text prompts, images, or reference videos. Previously, it was reported that the release of the model was delayed due to intellectual property issues. ByteDance has implemented several security restrictions, including prohibiting the use of content containing real human faces for video generation and adding invisible watermarks to AI-generated video clips.
