Recently, the 2026 F1 Chinese Grand Prix officially kicked off at the Shanghai International Circuit in Jiading District. Digital Technology’s Smart Intelligence Technology has supported Jiading District’s Urban Operations Center for the third consecutive year, collaborating with the District Sports Bureau, Jiading Public Security Bureau, District Culture and Tourism Bureau, and other departments. Relying on the continuously evolving “F1 Grand Prix Service Support Platform,” with more advanced intelligent applications and more detailed IoT data, it provides comprehensive technological support for this top-tier international event.

This is the third year that Smart Intelligence Technology has safeguarded the F1 Chinese Grand Prix. From its initial exploration in 2024, to platform enhancements in 2025, and capabilities leap in 2026, the company has established a rapid response and efficient coordination mechanism for major event support. After receiving the support task from Jiading District’s Urban Operations on March 1, 2026, the company quickly activated its mature project response system, assembled a dedicated support team, and completed platform iteration and data integration within two weeks. A现场 support team was also set up at the district’s Urban Operations Center to ensure stable platform operation during the event through professional and efficient actions.

This year, while maintaining a stable overall architecture, the platform focused on upgrading the IoT sensing capabilities. The “UAV Video Transmission” module, first introduced last year, was further enhanced this year, increasing monitored drones from one to seven, forming a multi-angle, full-coverage aerial monitoring cluster. During the event, these seven drones provided real-time, comprehensive monitoring of crowded areas, main roads, and transportation hubs from high altitudes, accurately calculating passenger and vehicle flow densities and trends. If local densities exceed safety thresholds, management can quickly locate issues via the platform and implement flow restriction and guidance measures, achieving precise control through “aerial surveillance” and “ground coordination.”

Based on 3D twin maps, over ten thousand video resources, and real-time data, the platform also added a passenger flow demographic segmentation feature this year. By analyzing the age structure of spectators in real time, management can intuitively understand the distribution and movement of different age groups, providing more detailed data support for on-site service guidance, emergency medical resource allocation, and future event operations.
