Afghanistan reports 400 deaths in hospital attack; Pakistan denies

Afghan government deputy spokesperson Hamdullah Fetrat stated on social media on the 17th that the Pakistan Air Force conducted an airstrike around 9 p.m. on the 16th targeting a hospital in Kabul, resulting in 400 deaths and about 250 injuries, with the death toll possibly rising further. The Pakistan Ministry of Information and Broadcasting issued a statement on the evening of the 16th saying that the Afghan claim that “the airstrike hit a hospital in Kabul providing rehabilitation treatment for drug addicts” is not true.
